UPDATE: The Kagan Nomination
 With the summer recess quickly approaching, the biggest agenda item facing the U.S. Senate in the days ahead is the confirmation vote of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court of the United States.

The debate on the Senate Floor is likely to begin on August 3rd and is expected to last for at least a couple of days.  The final schedule will be determined by Senate Majority Leader Reid.
