Barr v. City of Sinton (Supreme Court of Texas):  The ACLJ will be filing an amici curiae brief shortly after Thanksgiving in a case involving the Texas Religious Freedom Restoration Act and a zoning ordinance affecting Pastor Rick Barr’s prison rehabilitation ministry. We are representing former State Senator David Sibley who sponsored the Senate version of the RFRA bill.

Mylon LeFevre Ministries, Inc. v. Tarrant County Appraisal Board (Texas District Court, Tarrant County):  The ACLJ represents this ministry in an appeal of the denial of a property tax exemption and is preparing to file suit in the District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, to overturn the review board’s decision of October 19, 2006.

September 22, Pearland, TX:  The ACLJ sent local officials an informational letter about protest activities at the funeral of Marine Lance Cpl. Ryan A. Miller.
