For the first time in history, Iran directly attacked Israel – launching more than 300 drones and ballistic and cruise missiles at America’s greatest ally in the Middle East. Iran’s drone attack was historic, and President Biden and the United States are waiting to see how Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will respond.

Though the U.S. aided Israel in shooting down many of the drones, the Biden Administration is exhibiting a chilling lack of support for Israel. Axios reports on President Biden’s disgraceful advice to Netanyahu after the attack:

President Biden told Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a call on Saturday that the U.S. won’t support any Israeli counterattack against Iran, a senior White House official told Axios.

Why it matters: Biden and his senior advisers are highly concerned an Israeli response to Iran’s attack on Israel would lead to a regional war with catastrophic consequences, U.S. officials said. . . .

Behind the scenes: Biden told Netanyahu the joint defensive efforts by Israel, the U.S. and other countries in the region led to the failure of the Iranian attack, according to the White House official.

  • “You got a win. Take the win,” Biden told Netanyahu, according to the official.
  • The official said that when Biden told Netanyahu that the U.S. will not participate in any offensive operations against Iran and will not support such operations, Netanyahu said he understood.
  • U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin spoke on Saturday with his Israeli counterpart Yoav Gallant and asked that Israel notify the U.S. ahead of any response against Iran, a senior Israeli official said.

Just “take the win” even though your country just experienced an unprecedented attack? Seriously?

Yes, praise God that the Iron Dome protected Israel from the drones and missiles raining down. It’s a miracle that more lives weren’t lost. However, Netanyahu has no choice but to defend Israel against future attacks, and the U.S. shouldn’t be dictating what Israel can do to defend its people from Iran.

Also, don’t forget that Iran condemns America as “the Great Satan,” calls Israel “the Little Satan,” and openly chants “Death to America.” Imagine if Iran launched a missile attack against the U.S. Would Biden just say we should “take the win” if our defense system shoots down all the missiles?

We also now know that Iran told Turkey about its forthcoming attack. In addition, the White House also caught wind of the attack and told Tehran any attack must be “within certain limits.”

Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs Jeff Ballabon joined us to discuss the Biden Administration’s knowledge of the attack and the disastrous “take the win” recommendation:

The American Administration knew about and greenlit the Iranian attack. They said, Okay, but it has to be within certain limits, and then immediately told the Israelis [that they] must not retaliate . . . . This Administration is standing in the way of Israel . . . [and] is currently a tactical enemy of the state of Israel.

Jeff’s words are chilling. The Biden Administration is actively betraying its ally. Biden’s “just take the win” message also tells the world that America is weak and doesn’t have the mettle to defend its allies against attack.

The Biden Administration continues to find itself caught between vocalizing tepid support for Israel and appeasing its radical far-Left voters who also chant “Death to America” – protestors who Squad member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) recently refused to condemn.

Biden can’t keep trying to appease both sides of his base with shifting policy positions on Israel. The world could be inching toward World War III if he isn’t careful. He must display strong leadership to help stop the chaos in the Middle East.

Though the Biden Administration might be slowly turning its back on Israel, the ACLJ remains steadfast in defending Israel. We have mobilized our office in Jerusalem, and we just sent a vital demand letter to U.N. Secretary-General Guterres, demanding that the U.N. condemn Iran for its attack. Further, we demand that the U.N. recognize that Israel has a right to defend itself. The ACLJ will never stop advocating for Israel.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of Iran’s historic attack on Israel and Biden’s tepid support of Israel’s right to defend itself. We were honored to have retired Israeli Brigadier General Amir Avivi on our show to give an update on Israel. ACLJ Senior Counsel and Director of Policy Harry Hutchison commented on the jury selection process for President Trump’s Manhattan trial today.
